Connolly Statement on Office of Government Ethics Call for Investigation Into Conway’s Action
Washington,
February 14, 2017
Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA) released the following statement today after the U.S. Office of Government Ethics urged the White House Counsel to investigate senior White House Advisor Kellyanne Conway’s potential violation of federal rules: “Kellyanne Conway’s infomercial for President Trump’s daughter was an egregious violation of the federal Standards of Conduct. This dereliction of basic ethical conduct from a senior Administration official is behavior that has come to characterize the Trump White House. I applaud the U.S. Office of Government Ethics’ action today and urge the White House Counsel to investigate immediately this unacceptable behavior and exercise appropriate discipline.” |
