Connolly Statement on President Biden’s AI Executive Order

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation, released the following statement on President Biden’s new Executive Order on artificial intelligence:

“The federal government must be a partner in overseeing the deployment of new technologies. As Ranking Member of the Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Subcommittee, I have advocated for AI principles that intentionally balance innovation, consumer safety, cybersecurity, and equity. I look forward to working with the Biden-Harris Administration to ensure the federal government lives up to those goals.”
