Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA) released the following statement on Republican efforts to dismantle the Affordable Care Act:
"Trumpcare 3.0. No hearings. No CBO score. No idea how many people will be affected. This morning the House GOP will attempt to gut the protection on pre-existing conditions. Don't be fooled. The Upton amendment is a fig leaf that won't cover much. The Affordable Care Act can be improved. This vote today, however, is a step towards dismantling the ACA and it will hurt real people. The American public will hold the GOP accountable." |
