Connolly Statement on Trump EPA nominee

"Donald Trump’s selection of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency is the latest in a Cabinet of Horrors."
Congressman Gerry Connolly released the following statement on President-elect Trump's nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency:

"Donald Trump’s selection of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency is the latest in a Cabinet of Horrors. This appointment is a devastating setback for public health and safety, addressing global climate change and is nothing more than a giveaway to the Koch Brothers and Big Oil industry. The decision to appoint an individual who has repeatedly tried to stymie and rollback important environmental regulations – and a climate change denier no less - to head the very agency charged with protecting public health and safety is reckless, cynical and must be opposed."
