$2 Million in Hurricane Sandy Repairs Set for Prince William

The U.S. Department of the Interior plans to spend nearly $2 million in Prince William County to repair damage caused by Hurricane Sandy at Occoquan National Wildlife Refuge and Prince William Forest Park. Read more.
 The U.S. Department of the Interior plans to spend nearly $2 million in Prince William County to repair damage caused by Hurricane Sandy at Occoquan National Wildlife Refuge and Prince William Forest Park, Congressman Gerry Connolly said today. The Interior Department has released $1.846 million to repair roads and rehabilitate Deephole Point Road in the Occoquan NWR under the auspices of the Federal Wildlife Service. An additional $100,000 was allocated through the National Park Service to remove storm damaged trees and debris from Prince William Forest Park. Along the East Coast, the Interior Department allocated a total of $475.25 million in emergency Hurricane Sandy disaster relief funding, appropriated by Congress, for 234 projects to will repair and rebuild parks, refuges and other Interior Department assets damaged by the storm.
