The Washington, D.C., office and the district office of former Representative Connolly will continue to serve the people of the 11th Congressional District of Virginia under the supervision of the Clerk of the House of Representatives. Information on Government Shutdown

Due to the inability of Congress to pass a government funding measure all federal agencies are forced to respond to a government shutdown. As a result, more than 800,000 federal employees across the country may be subject to furlough. Read more.

Due to the inability of Congress to pass a government funding measure all federal agencies are forced to respond to a government shutdown. As a result, more than 800,000 federal employees across the country may be subject to furlough. Congressman Connolly continues to urge Congress to pass a clean continuing resolution that will put all federal employees back to work and reopen the government. In addition, Congressman Connolly has introduced legislation to ensure federal employees subject to the government shutdown receive retroactive pay.
