Connolly Announces Participation in Green & Gold Congressional Aid Program

Congressman Gerry Connolly’s office is seeking a veteran for a two-year paid position in his Fairfax district office through the Green & Gold Congressional Aide Program. The person selected for this position will join his team as a district representative and will attend local meetings and events on behalf of Congressman Connolly and act as a facilitator between constituents and federal, state, and local agencies.
The Green & Gold Congressional Aide Program was established to create employment opportunities for veterans within the House of Representatives. These two-year positions provide veterans with experience and exposure to broaden career opportunities. To qualify, veterans must meet all the following requirements: Honorably discharged, released from active duty within the last six years, pay grades at or below E-5, O-3, or W-2. Veterans promoted to the pay grades of E-6, O-4, or W-3 within 6-months of separation from active duty are eligible, granted they meet ALL other eligibility requirements. Veterans who are in receipt of a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement Authorization (TERA) retirement are not eligible for the program. Interested veterans can apply HERE. |
