Connolly To Host Prince William County Senior Issues Forum on Monday

On Monday, August 22, 2016, Congressman Gerry Connolly will host a Senior Issues Forum to provide pertinent information to seniors and retirees on the current state of the Social Security and Medicare programs, as well as how to protect one from becoming a victim of tax fraud and abuse scams. On Monday, August 22, 2016, Congressman Gerry Connolly will host a Senior Issues Forum to provide pertinent information to seniors and retirees on the current state of the Social Security and Medicare programs, as well as how to protect one from becoming a victim of tax fraud and abuse scams. “There has been some uncertainty lately about the future of Social Security and Medicare,” Connolly said. “This forum will bring experts together to provide Northern Virginians with the most recent information on these programs and efforts to protect the long-term viability of these critical benefits.” The community is invited to attend the August 22nd forum, which will feature a panel of representatives from the AARP, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Social Security Administration. The forum will take place at Westminster at Lake Ridge, a continuing care retirement community, located at 12191 Clipper Drive, Woodbridge, VA. The forum will run from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
