Congressional Taiwan Caucus Co-Chairs Statement on Speaker Pelosi’s Trip to Taiwan

Representatives Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Steve Chabot (R-OH), Albio Sires (D-NJ), and Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), the co-chairs of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus, released the following statement in support of Speaker Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan.

“As the co-chairs of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus, we fully support Speaker Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan. Her visit reaffirms America’s support for Taiwan’s sovereignty and democracy against the backdrop of increasingly aggressive threats and behavior from the PRC. We look forward to working with members of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus to continue advancing our legislative branch’s support for Taiwan’s democracy and promote shared security and economic partnerships.”
