Connolly Statement on Federal Ruling Against the Trump Administration’s Decision to Add Census Citizenship Question

Today, Congressman Gerry Connolly, a senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, released the following statement on federal court ruling against the Trump administration’s addition of a citizenship question to the Census.

“From the beginning, I’ve been fighting the Trump Administration’s attempts to intimidate minority communities into not being counted, and represented, by their own government. Today, a US District Court Judge agreed – the Census cannot be a partisan tool. The House Committee on Oversight and Reform must continue to investigate this decision by Secretary Ross.”
