The Washington, D.C., office and the district office of former Representative Connolly will continue to serve the people of the 11th Congressional District of Virginia under the supervision of the Clerk of the House of Representatives. Connolly Statement on the House Introduction of Charlottesville Resolution

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA) released the following statement upon the House introduction of his legislation condemning the violent and hateful attacks carried out in Charlottesville, VA by white supremacists, white nationalists, neo-Nazis and the KKK:

“I am pleased to introduce this important resolution tonight with Congressman Tom Garrett that brings the Virginia congressional delegation together with one voice in clearly and unequivocally condemning the hateful acts of violence carried out by white supremacists, white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and the KKK in Charlottesville, Virginia.”

The bipartisan Senate legislation was introduced by Senators Mark Warner (D-VA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Cory Gardner (R-CO) and Johnny Isakson (R-GA).
