The Washington, D.C., office and the district office of former Representative Connolly will continue to serve the people of the 11th Congressional District of Virginia under the supervision of the Clerk of the House of Representatives. The 2024 Congressional App Challenge is open for submissions!

Each year, the U.S. House of Representatives hosts the Congressional App Challenge. This is an annual coding competition designed to encourage middle school and high school student participation in computer science and coding, regardless of experience. It is an opportunity for students to compete against other peers within their district by creating an original application in a variety of programming languages and on different platforms.

Deadlines:
May 1 – Challenge Launch!
October 24 – Deadline for students to submit their app online.
October 28 – November 22 – Judging period.
November 22 – December 31 – Winners announced!

The winning app will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol and shown on www.House.gov. The winners will also be invited to #HouseOfCode, and more prizes may be announced at a later date.
